Mend Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 Running Fine Full

Jetta Won't Start-Why?

We have a 2001 Jetta 2.0. Gasoline 2.0. It was running fine when we parked it last (with a full tank of gas). Got in it the next morning to go to work, all it will do now is start and die, start and die, etc...We haven't checked anything out on it yet so were do we start? Is this a common problem with VW?

you say it starts then dies? it could be the throttle body.

It could be a number of things, check your fuel pump is working for starters. How far did you drive after filling it up? Did you fill it with petrol and not diesel by mistake, take the air filter out and try starting it (it could be blocked) Water in the fuel could also be the problem. Post again
