Disc stuck in Panasonic dmr-e50?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can help
I started to record from a VHS and got error has occured plese press enter I did and it when through the recovery process
so I removed the disc and replaced it with another and got the message this disc is read only so I press return and tried to eject the disc it the says open quickly followed by close and then nothing I can't even switch it off
help please

Panasonic Video, DVD Players Stuck Help Error

Panasonic give this information regarding your problem:-

If pressing EJECT to power up does not work, when unit is in standby, simultaneously press STOP and Ch Up for 5 seconds. Drawer should now eject.

A faulty disc, drive or digital process PCB can cause the disc to get stuck with RECOVERY showing in the display

If the display shows RECOVERY, then place the unit into standby by pressing the POWER button FOR 10 SECS and then use the above method.

If RECOVERY continues to show then there is a problem with the unit and you should contact your dealer or Panasonic customer service.
