Mend Panasonic PV-D4734S Power Replace Supply

No power to Panasonic DVD/VHS player?

There is no power to my Panasonic PV-D4734S DVD/VHS player. Should I replace the power supply, or could there be another cause?

Panasonic Panasonic PV-D4734S Video, DVD Players Power Replace Supply

Can you solder?, if so try Satcure.co.uk for components and free eBook on Electronics.
If the power supply has failed, my experience is that other components such as capacitors have been damaged as well.
