I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ49V Video Recorder ?

I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ49V Video Recorder that continuously shows U99 error code . I cannot seem to be able to clear this . Any suggestions ? I've tried turning the unit off and then on . Nothing seems to work .
