sensor?

i have just replaced the gearbox on my renault kangoo diesel there is apparently a sensor plate which bolts to the gear box where the fly wheel is ( you can see the fly wheel teeth ) and plugs into an electrical connection which i can see does any body know what this part is called

it is called a crank sensor theres two types one fits in the side of engine the one you got fits over flyweel hope this helps
