how to fix pfaff 230?

first thing i will do is remove bobbin case and inspect for cotton jamming hook drive.after that its a matter of loosening the connecting bar between main upper shaft and needle bar drive to find problem.when last was a proper service done.take some good penetrating oil and spray all moveable connections then move handwheel back and fro to try loosen up.if that does not work its a job for technician
