bt viscount 80's phone lost tone dialing?

hi i have an old bt viscount phone that i purchased recently because i love the old trim phone ring.
anyway it was working on tone dial but now has gone to pulse and i cant find a switch on it anywhere to switch it back to tone dialing. please help
