Mend Shower Unit Turned

my shower unit?

when my shower is turned to the coldest setting it runs okay but if you turn the heat up it trips the main breaker switch and keeps flickering from on too off .ive changed fuses and tried to run it with nothing else working on the fuse board apart from the shower but nothing changes.....has anyone any ideas..
