how to replace the timer on Simpson esprit 650?

I've had to manually advance the cycles on my Simpson esprit 650 for at least 8 months now. I know that this is a timer issue and as i would like to replace the part myself i was wondering if anyone could help with some detailed instructions on how to re move and replace the part. Thanks
