Mend Creda Work Power

Creda 'newera' panel heaters?

Does anyone know why my 'newera' panel heater wont work. It looks as though there is no power to it, but I have checked and it is. I think its the top controller unit, possibly the 'thermostat'. Is there any kind of repair/ thermostat removal manual I can refer to. Its a 'Creda Newera panel heater, model number: PPH 2000. I'm absolutely freezing and have no immune system due to Chemotherapy, so keeping warm is quite essential. All/any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, I had the same problems with 2 and 'creda' are of no use at all, There are NO spares for them anywhere. so the answer is simple. Either pay a qualified electrician to remove the controller (as this is probably the problem, mine was) and connect direct. OR, if you know what your doing with electric's, disconnect from the mains first, remove the controller if you can see how too or remove the back of the panel. There are 2 black wires from the heating panels to the controller, remove them from the controller and join 1 to the positive and 1 to the negative mains lead using correct 'wire connectors'. There will still be a wire connected to the controller which is for the thermostat and pokes out of the bottom of the radiator, you can remove this completely as it is now useless. There is no requirement for an 'earth'. Put it all back together and connect to the mains and 'viola' your heating works again.....Just remember to turn them off when not needed as they wont turn off themselves.Nb: These 'newera's' have aluminium heat elements/panels (not coiled wire) Important: I am NOT a qualified electrician, but have been in the building trade for many years, nevertheless, I still had a qualified electrician check my work out first and he said it was safe as long as I remembered to turn them off.
