Mend Vauxhall Engine Not

Vauxhall astravan 1999 gm engine not idling?

I have a 1999 astra van and its not idling and difficult to start. The only way to start it is by holding the accelerator down. When the revs are left at 2500rpm it overheats in a couple of minutes and coolant is full and the engine management light flashes. Its had a new diesel pump and pump ecu.
