Mend Volkswagen Golf 1.9 TDI Central Locking

my golf 1.9tdi y reg wont lock?

in winter even if its not icy my car just wont lock when i put the key in nothing happens.it can unlock but not lock.Its not central locking jus key in door and its not safe to leave anywhere i have to lock 3 doors inside and leave one open?
