How can i fix my Astra 1.7 deisel Design?

I was driving my astra when the engine light came on then the battery light come on then ABS light come on radio goes off power stearing stops working then all dash lights go out so i turned engine off and tryed to start it again but battery was flat, so i charged the battery and it starts ok lasts a couple of mins then does it all over again can any body help.

has the battery actually been tested?it may be time for a new one and charging rate may be worth checking also
