Mend Ford Focus ZX3 Battery Alternator Draining

what may be wrong?

I have a 2003 ford focus zx3 my battery light comes on then the car dies, you can turn the car off and take out key and the radio will not only stay on but you can turn it on and off. I have replaced the battery and the alternator but it still does it, it wont hold a charge something seems to be draining it but the alternator isn't recharging it either. When you test the alternator it runs high

Is it the original Ford radio or has a new one been fitted?
Any other electrics been fitted, hands free kit or anything plugged in to lighter socket?

Try checking the new battery and that all the connections between the battery and the alternator are correct.

Failing that it does seem to have a drain, try taking things one at a time out the equation. Start by disconnecting the Radio completely and see if it still does it, if it does move onto something else etc etc.
