Mend Bosch KSV2401 Works Light Sensor

how can i fix my fridge/freezer?

bosch fridge/freezer ksv 2401. the only thing that works is the interior light.
the sensor wire in the fridge section appears to have some signs of overheating and there is some discolouration around the plastic housing.
