philips dect 122 handset remove the word searching from screen?

the word "searching" is permanently displayed in the
telephone window.How can I remove it?

I had the same problem, which was fixed by unplugging the power to the base station for a few seconds then plugging it back in. Two phones that were displaying SEARCHING went back to display the correct assigned name. Hope this helps
