get phone to stop searching?

my electric went out and when it come back on my phone says searcxhing and i can't get it to quit it is a phillips tried another phone and it worked.

Philips Philips CT100 Telephones, Cordless Phones Phone Stop Searching

If it's cordless take the battery's out unplug the whole lot and leave it for 30 mins to reset,might work and nothing to loose,it fixed ours.
