garage flat roof water on top?

i have just had my garage flat roof done as it was leeking. but now when it rains it looks like a swimming pool on top. how can i stop this.

is it really a good idea to build buildings with flat roofs in colder climates?

get them back to do a proper job. all roofs should discharge water towards the gutter leaving no water on roof.
