Miele Novotronic premier plus gets stuck in cycle?

premier plus washing machine, the check drain light came on and I found the filter full of stuff, I cleaned the filter and replaced it and that seemed to fix the problem but now the machine will sometimes complete a wash but other times it will stay in one mode of the cycle in that it will not spin up and complete the cycle. I have watched it during the drain and final spin and it won't spin up, it tries a number of times and then moves on to anti crease and stays in that part of the cycle, if the door is open the cloths are still full of water. The spinner at the back of the filter keeps spinning, can anyone help
