sounds like the carb's flooding, remove float bowl to find out why, eg punctured float, dirt holding the float needle off its seat, worn float needle tip (you'll see a groove around the tip) also remove spark plug, as fuel may have got to the combustion chamber, with ignition OFF, crank engine over until dry.
