hey, i have a cpi gtr 50 which ive had for a week its broke don twice the first time was the spark plug and since then it stopped starting... i have a compression but no fire i have changed spark plug, replaced spark plug cap and also cleaned my carb i have a good spark but i seem to have oil on the spark plug even after cleaning... was wondering if you could help thanks?
hello i have a aprillia sr50 its 2003 it has real good acceleration then when it gets to about 15mph the revs realy drop and it sticks at 30 for ages takes ages to get to top speed i have cleaned carb new airfilter and rollers could this be the reeds?????

reed petal is fine no cracks etc. any other options? thanks

the reed petal is screwed to the underneath of the reed block that the carburettor is fixed to on the engine. if its the engine im thinking of its on the left side as you sit on the bike near the front.it can be a nightmare to get to though you may have to do alot of panel removal to even get at it.

where is the reed petal located? and it is liquid cooled.. thanks

check the reed petal isnt broken or cracked i think these use a motori minarelli engine and they seem to suffer from this problem like the aerox's.also the head gaskets fall apart(i take it it is a liquid cooled engine)?.

still no fire it turns over but doesnt even seem to fire... thanks

what psi do you have on compression,? put a tiny bit of petrol in plug hole and try and start , let me know what happens
