how can i close my window?

i have a 05 renault megan and my passanger window as gone down about 2 inch but now it will not close

Disconnect the battery, wait a minute, connect then press car lock button. The window may only go up a fraction but repeated procedures will get the window up. Once up it normally resets. I've have this problem with both passenger and driver front windows in the last 2 years but for about 15 minutes work the problem goes away.
