real player problems?

The lack of an uninstaller is common if it was preinstalled on a new computer.

Maybe you have a trial copy of the "Plus" version that is now expired. Also common if it came preinstalled on a new system.

Get a new copy of the instaler for real player, free version, from http://www.real.com/ and reinstall over your current copy. This should work.

Another possibility would be to switch to some other media player, like winamp, also available for free.
