Panasonic SC-VK950 - F61 error?
Hello,
I bought a panasonic SC-VK950 almost a year now and i loved it very much and i love listening to music. One day it so happened that the cd got stuck in the tray giving an error CHGR ERR. As instructed, I powered off to power it on again. But unfortunately when I powered it on, something went wrong and the speakers gave out a shrill noise. I switched off immediately. Later on even till now, switching on again I notice a "dub" sound in the left and right surround speakers and followed by the f61 error in display. I called the technician from panasonic and he only said it must be taken to the center and would take 10-15 days and no guarantee of it to be repaired. I have knowledge of repairing tape recorders earlier but the technology now is so advanced. I do not part with my system and add problems. The following day, i sadly switched it on again. I had removed the surround speaker connections. To my surprise it worked. I removed the cds too and played stereo music with no fault, but later i did reconnect to check the surround speakers and to my bad luck again f61. This time it does not recover under any condition. I wish to repair it myself. I have the service manual. I need guidance in a way as to what are the parts that i need to check for faults to rectify this problem. I will be very grateful to all who support me in this as this system was I purchased with great love to it and it feels bad to see it dead. Please help me. Thank you in advance.
Also, usual there is the condensor which is usually discharged before attempting repair works. I wonder how is it with this hifi. Wat must i do to discharge the capacitors and where can i find them in.
