Mend Alba DVD 70s Dvd Power Fuse

Alba DVD 70s?

Player seems dead, there is no power light. The player was supplied new from the Daily Express some time ago, it did work on receipt but only tried it to test ,its been idle till now,fuse checked and ok..any ideas for a fix or should I bin it
