Hazard Lights are Flashing When we Lock the Car - Help!?

Help!
Just bought a 54 plate Vauxhall Zafira. Love it, but when we lock the car using the fob or key, after a few minutes, the hazard lights start flashing as thought he laram is triggered (but no alarm noise, i guess this has broken too) just lights flashing. The car stays locked too.

The only way to stop the flashing is to open the car and leave it open - obviously long term this is a secuirty risk, I am not that bothered about the alarm, can i just disable this completely, or does anyone have any idea how this may be happening?
Any thoughts/help would be really appreciated.
