gear box fluid for older ride on ?

what type of fluid or grease goes in and older murray ride on with the gear shifter between your legs has 5 gears and looks like there is grease thats how thick it is it is a 40702x92f thats the model number its a 12.5 hp 40 inch side trower front engine machine there is a plug just under the seat on top of gear box.
