murray 12/30 ride on cuts out when i fit brake and get off?

when i stop and fit brake, get off, engine stops.I have checked all connections ok.

'Brake on' interlock switch is faulty or mal-adjusted. Not sure where it is on this model, but look for a switch that is activated when the brake pedal is all the way down.
