Mend Fisher & Paykel Machine Spin Start Rinse

washing machine washes but does not drain & spin?

Fisher & Paykel Washing machine washes but stop at the start of the rinse cycle and does not drain. I advanced it to the spin cycle and it does not spin. Noticed that the "lid Locked" light is not on. Usually, when spinning, this light is on.

This question has been answered so many times before. Machine will not spin while still full of water. Drum must drain all water out before the controller will start the spin cycle. Lid does not lock until the spin cycle starts. Put machine on final spin & press start. You will hear a humming noise down below. That is the drain pump trying to go but can't because it has a blockage. Very simple diagnostics really. Unblock the pump & problem solved.
