I had exactly the same problem ! 2 of the 'nodules' were inside the box when delivered, and having accidently disposed of the invoice, I had no means of retuning the item. Then I had a brainwave ! I used a microwave dish lid. I turned the filter cylinder upside down and drew round it onto the lid, allowing for 3 small 'nodules'. Then, (with sharp scissors) I cut round the shape and cut a hole in the middle to accomodate the hole in the filter. I filed the jagged cut edges (with a nail file!) Then cleared the top of the filter from any rubberised debris. Finally, I superglued my makeshift top to the filter top - and it worked. It took me about 2 hours and I dont know how long it will last, but at least I didn't have to throw away a brand new vacuum. I would NEVER buy Elitech again though!!!!!!
