How to change filter in rainbow vacuum model e2?

The e2 has 3 different type of H.E.P.A. filters. You can download manuals on our web site. There is also 2 different styles of getting to your filter. On the older e-series units, you have to remove 4 screws, 2 in the bottom of the rear assembly, and 2 that is behind the cord caddy. The other method is with the 2 tabs that are at the bottom of the rear assembly. Sometimes you may need a flat screwdriver to press tabs in. Be careful not to break tabs. call your rainbow salesman, order a new one R-10520 40 to 60 bucks. take the motor part off the base, look for the 2 tabs on the bottom where the air comes out, push them in and the whole thing comes right off. You can wash the old one (water only reinstall and run the rainbow until filter is dry) or put in a new one. good luck.
