Hot water failing ?

My Midas SI , the hot water temp fails when trying to run a bath, the central heating is working ok, I am told by an engineer to just buy new boiler. there must be a part failing to sustain constant hot water. also when the hot water fails the temp/preasure indicator will not move from 30 c when the temp moves to 60c+ the hot water works.
