Mend Hoover 3530d Tumble Appliance Drum

Why won't my dryer spin?

We have a model Hoover 3530d 3.5 kg clithes dryer. It won't spin when the door is closed but we can get it to work sometimes if we hand spin the drum and then close the door. It runs fine after that. We thought it might be the belt but we've checked that and all seems fine. We've run out of ideas!

Have you checked the brushes in the motor - you say it will work after moving the drum around. I would check that the brushes are not worn
