how can i ix my hoover nextra htl 7146 washing machine?

washing machine has power at control timer unit , water pump works but main motor not turning drum.belt is ok. there is power 230v on two of the wires of the 7 pin plug at the motor.how can i check the motor an could it be the speed controller on the end of the motor shaft ?.
