how can i fix a crack on my oil sump?

i have a 2000 1.2 punto ive noticed it leaking from underneath found out ive a crack in the sump is there anyway i can patch it without costing a fortune?

are you sure its cracked? this is a common fault with puntos. the sump corrodes and becomes perforated a replacement will about £40 + sealer

drain all oil out and clean sump you can repair it using chemical weld from motor factors/ halfords clean off any oil first with a degreaser/ paint thinners .use plenty of hardner so that the chemical weldsets quickly l
