Mend Maytag MVW6200KW Reset Machine Belt

is there a reset switch? My machine stopped working after unbalanced load?

My old Maytag machine quit working after an unbalanced load. The belt is in tact - but it wont work. Is there a reset switch?

Hello,

It sounds like your lid switch has broken. You can access it by removing the screws to the control panel and checking the switch out. When your washer went off balance, it probably damaged the switch.
