my indicator light/lights continue to flash when engine starts up,?

206 gti x reg. 83kmiles. my indictor lights keep flashing and wont turn off after start up until taking the key out, its not the hazard light being left on!, some interior lighting has also been playing up recently, such as air con display and time/temp display not showing too, maybe connected? spoke to 2mechanics both not sure what it could be, alarm? immobiliser? electrics? un sure, but it sems immobiliser seems ok, alarm activates and de-activates how it should.tried both sets of keys and still have same problem.
