How do I fix my servis easi logic 1200 washer/dryer?

My washing machine stopped during a 90 degree cycle, the door unlocked and drum was still full of water as it had only just started the pre-wash, I removed filter and drum drained, start light was also flashing. Removed waste pipe from back and remaining water drained, waste pipe fine, pipe between filter and pump removed and fine, took motor off pump and all fine, checked for continuity and none so replaced pump, although still no continuity on new pump, assumed not the pump?! Bridged the 2 terminals to the pump with wire and still start light flashes and won't start a cycle.. Confused please help!?
