Zanussi ZWF14791W?

just got a second hand machine and it is not working. it has a light on the start/pause button but nothing on the display. Any ideas?

Had the E20 error code and after reading the help messages decided to have a go myself. The result is a repaired washing machine at no cost.
I took the washing machine onto the patio and got all the water out through the front drain and then found the small plug of fluff. Once removed i decided to put machine on a drain cycle with the garden hose running water into the machine via the front drain which cleared some of the lime scale that was building inside.So thanks to all who put previous comments that have saved me time and money.

switch on at mains (wall socket).Switch program dial to OFF.Press start pause button and extra rinse button in together and then whilst holding these 2 buttons pressed rotate the program dial to COTTON.After 3 sec lights should sequence.Now switch program dial back to OFF.switch on,switch off,switch on.this should of reset it.E20 is a draining issue and could be to do with the routing of your drain hose.do not extend drain hose as this causes said fault.over sudding causes this fault.software on pcb has been an issue.earth leakage on the dryer element cause this sometimes too.anything around 10megs to earth is a possible issue.
