fairly new tv, but the power wont even go on???

i have a 2 yr old panasonic flat screen (not plasma). i went to turn it on and it tried to go on but just went black. now it has no power. (the power button on the tv itself dose nothing). just 1 hr earlier i was watching tv, but turned it off since i had to leave. any suggestions? i would really like to tackle this problem myself.

In some very specific models/serial numbers the symptoms you described 'may' require fuse modification. Only a dealer can advise you. In that case, this would be a simple repair.
