Mend LDV Engine Starter Ignition

LDV Convoy Duratorque 2.4 Starter Problem?

I have a 2002 LDV Convoy with a 2.4 Duratorque engine. When the ignition key is turned there is a Clunk from under the bonnet.. I have had the starter motor changed but we still have the same problem...

possibly dual mass flywheel faulty - common fault with this engine,solid flywheels are available and i would recommend fitting one if this is your fault.

have you tried turning the engine by hand to make sure it is not seized,make sure also it is not frozen and there is plenty of a/freeze in your system
