transit van ?

i need to change my tyre on a transit van on 03 reg i have looked underneath and the spare is good..but i have looked for tools to get spare tyre off i looked for special tool to put in bumber to winch the cable for spare but i have no tools ......what can i do nto get tyre off or can i not do it ....without that tool and how much are the tools to do the job..

You need to get underneath with a half inch socket wrench and extension without a socket on it. It should fit perfectly.

you can make a tool out of an old 1/2 inch socket extension about 12" long,but you will need to grind the square end into a flat shape to fit the wind down mechanism,you can then use this with a ratchet/air gun for quick removal,either that or go to a scrappy for replacement
