Mend BT Lyric 2100 Low Volume Fine

BT Lyric 2100 Low volume reception at recipient's end?

BT Lyric 2100 cordless phone gives fine reception at my end but when I ring-out, I can hardly be heard at the other end!

I have cleaned contacts on Base Unit - as per BT instructions but no improvement.
