Mend Hoover OPH714D Washing Machine Repair Appliance

Hoover OPH714D door won't lock - how can I fix it?

My wife pushed the door of our Hoover OPH714D washing machine too hard and now the lock light won't come on. Does this sound like a problem with the electronic door lock and can I change this easily?
