Mend Simpson EZ950 Washing Machine Agitator No Spin

what is the problem with my washing machie?

I have a simpson eziset 950 washing machine.
it does not wash or spin. it pumps the water out ok but that's it. it goes through the cycles and when it is supposed to wash I hear a faint noise as if the aggitator is working to and fro but it isn't.
what is the problem?
