Mend GE ADP8322 Dishwasher Heating Element Faulty

Is the heating element broken?

I have model ADP8322 which is five years old. The start button flashes 3 times and beeps constantly no matter which programme I choose after 10 minutes of washing and going to pre rinse each time. I don't think it is heating up either. Tried re-programming as explained in other messages to no avail. No water on plate, cleaned filters. HELP!
