Mend GE ADP8102 Reset Side Change

adp8102 thermostat reset?

I have the side pannel off the dushwasher and have found the reset buttin sticking up from the thermostat but it wont push down. How do I change it?

I should add that to get to this button, you have to remove the right-hand panel (as you look at the machine from the front). It's located at the back of the machine and is a little red stud sticking up. It's hard to get to.
