central heating pump?

how can i check the old pump on my central heating is working because engineer said it was the pump gone, but it been on only 18 months and has a 5 year gaurantee should i . take pump to suppliers for refund..

If you have not used the pump for a few months it wil jamb, you can hit it with a hammer, which will free the works. or if this does not work I would definately take it back to the place of purchase, especially if it has a 5 year guarantee.
