Mend Heat High Temp Heating

What is life expectancy and can it heat at too high a temp?

What is the life expectancy of this machine? We've had it since 1997 and it gives us a stronger odor which may be due to it heating at a higher temp or a difference in laminate film. Wondering what options we have. It's running fine otherwise. Just giving headaches to those exposed to the odor.

what model do you have? wierdly some have adjustable thermosts allowing a user to set the machine hotter than ever needed for operation

An office machine should not induce headaches - the responsible manager should consider immediate action to protect users.

It is not running fine - it's giving off toxic chemicals.

Nobody can reasonably answer the life expectancy - you do not give the make or model- but I would guess 12 years based on what you say.
