Mend Stuck Inside Work

pieces of a broken cd go stuck inside the hardware, not it does not work?

My sister was copying a cd into the computer when suddenly the cd broke and the pieces got stuck inside. Now, the thing does not want to play anymore cds.

Probably cheaper to buy a new CD drive. They are easy to fit. Just connect it the same as the old one. You'll also need to look at the old one's 'jumpers' on the back of the drive to jumper it for Master or Slave. Feel free to put a new post on asking for clarification of this answer.
